The Doctrine of the Holy Spirit (2)

 

◎ Who are Christians?

Those who are trusting in God our Creator, following Jesus Christ our Saviour, and guiding by the Holy Spirit.

 

◎ Then what happens to us when we live under the guidance of the Holy Spirit?

 

◎ Within us, the fruit of the Holy Spirit and the Spiritual gifts will appear. This time, let’s first study about the fruit of the Holy Spirit.

 

◎ The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. (Galatians 5:22~23 NIV)

 

◎ Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. (Matthew 11:29 NIV)

 

◎ Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger. (Ephesians 4:26 ESV)

 

◎ Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. (Ephesians 4:29 ESV)

 

◎ The appearance of the fruit of the Holy Spirit in us is evidence of our saving life and of faith in restoring the image of God.

 

◎ Instead, renew the thinking in your mind by the Spirit, and clothe yourself with the new person created according to God’s image in justice and true holiness. (Ephesians 4:23~24 CEB)

 

◎ Prayer: Lord Jesus Christ, we want to learn your mind and want to resemble your character. Give us full of grace of the Holy Spirit so that we may be formed into the character of Christ. Amen.
