창조절 10주(2019. 11. 3.) 창세기 5장 21-24절 하나님과 동행하라. 오늘 본문은 성경에 등장하는 처음 인류 가운데 한 사람인 에녹 이야기입니다. 에녹은 아담의 7대 자손입니다. 성경은 그에 대해 짧게 언급하면서도 그가 “하나님과 동행하였다”라고 두 번이나 반복하여 소개하였습니다. 에녹의 삶이 우리에게 어떤 신앙의 교훈을 주는지 생각해 보고자 합니다. 우선 ‘에녹’이라는 이름을 살펴보면 ‘하나님께 바쳐졌다’는 뜻입니다. 에녹이라는 이름 속에 그는 세상에 속하지 아니하고, 하나님만을 경외하며 살았던 ‘믿음의 사람’이었음을 알 수 있습니다. 에녹은 65세에 므두셀라를 낳았습니다. 재미있는 건 ‘므두셀라’라는 이름의 뜻이 ‘창 던지는 사람’이라는 것입니다. 고대 사회에서는 전쟁을 하게 되면 창을..
